  • With the pre-installation of the desired operating system, you will receive a login directly at operating system level.
  • Your username and a personalised password will be sent to you separately.
  • You will also receive access to the management console via the IPMI interface. You can access this in your browser via the IP address by entering the user name and password (for IPMI). You can skip any security warnings ("This is not a secure connection.").

  • Hardware information on the system, BIOS, CPU, memory
  • Various temperature information
  • Network information (IP, MAC)
  • Shutdown and restart of the server
  • Calling up the Remote Console (VPN connection required)

As this is a pure root server, it is not monitored by SpaceNet. As the customer, you are responsible for this yourself.

This server series is provided exclusively as customer-managed servers. If required, please contact SpaceNet Sales on (089) 323 56-555, where you will receive the necessary information.

You are responsible for backing up your server and data yourself. You can use the additional FTP storage offered as backup storage.

Yes, as an administrator on the root server you can set up as many additional users as you like.

Shutdown is usually carried out via the corresponding command at operating system level or via the corresponding command on the server console. A restart after a complete shutdown is also possible via the server console.

You can use IPMI login to display extensive information, e.g. on the hardware, operating temperature and other sensor data, as well as shutting down and restarting the server.

Basically yes. The server is provided by SpaceNet as a root server with your selected operating system. Once the server has been handed over to you, the operating system and the installed applications are no longer visible to SpaceNet employees and are therefore not monitored. It is only important that you use the IP addresses specified by SpaceNet.

Yes, this is possible. In this case, order a free Linux installation and install your operating system after the server has been provided.
If you have ordered a server with a Windows licence and would like to switch to your own Windows licence or another operating system, you must cancel the server and order a new server. The provisioning fee according to the current price list is due for this.

500 GB uplink volume is included in the price of the server. We reserve the right to throttle the transfer speed if the volume is exceeded.

No, file transfers from your server to your FTP storage are network-internal.

You are responsible for software-related defects.
In the event of defective hardware, we will provide you with a replacement server within the scope of the terms of use.
The new server will only be provided with the operating system version that is released as standard by SpaceNet at that time.
If a hard disk (operated in the Soft RAID1 network) is defective, we will replace the hard disk for a one-off fee.

You are responsible for backing up your operating system environment, installed applications and your data yourself
. If desired and technically feasible and responsible, the defective device can be left on the network unchanged for up to two working days so that you can transfer the data to your new server during this time. After this time, access to the server is no longer possible.

By providing access to the remote console (via IPMI), you can make the necessary configurations for recovery, even reinstalling the operating system.

Please contact the support team. You will find more detailed information on this in the terms of use that were sent to you when you ordered the server.

The cancellation period is one month to the end of the month. If FTP storage has been ordered, this must be cancelled separately.

Hosting Dedicated Individual

Yes, you can access your server with an appropriate SSH client.

Our SpaceNet Hosting Dedicated product is a "managed" server, which means that the server is automatically maintained using software developed by us. However, it is still possible to install additional software.
To do this, change the target path during programme installation to /home/<name>, for example.

Yes, it is possible to activate the current MySQL version.

Yes, we can set up virtual hosts for you on request.

Yes, you can set up additional users with our "User Access Management System" (UAMS).

  • With the pre-installation of the desired OS, you will receive a login directly at operating system level. Usernames and passwords are sent to you separately.
  • You can also access the server via the server console (IPMI interface). Here you can choose between direct access (direct access to the specified IP address with a limited range of functions) or access via an additional VPN connection (access via VPN with an extended range of functions).

The AWStats analysis programme is used on our web servers. The analysis tool can be accessed via www.IhreDomain.de/spc-bin/awstats. You received the login password in our first letter. In addition, you will of course always have access to your log files.

Service level agreements (SLA or standard SLA) typically regulate the minimum availability of a service. Statistically speaking, technology always fails at the lower level, be it power, cooling, network connections, computer and storage hardware. In order to achieve higher availability, precautions must be taken by the provider so that services do not fail simply because components fail. This includes failover solutions and the creation of redundancies in the components. The higher the SLA value, the higher the production costs. Please note: If an annual SLA of 99% has been agreed, this means that services may fail for a full 24 hours within 100 days without breaching the SLA. At 99.99%, this is still almost one hour per year.
